Manto Athletics Pullover Hoodie

Sizing Info:

Hoodie runs pretty standard. Definitely not fitted or an athletic fit.

I'm 6'1" 170 lbs and the Large fits with wiggle room (I'd try to shrink it in the dryer). Even the Medium fits, albeit snug.

These fit very true to size. Also, they are... awesome. Very smooth interior lining and a thin layer of gripping fabric along the waistline to prevent shifting around. Did I mention they are awesome?

Hybrid Flex Panel Gi Pants

From Ring to Cage:

a2 - 5'6" - 5'10" / 151 lbs - 185 lbs
a3 - 5'11" - 6'1" / 186 lbs - 225 lbs
a4 - 6'1" - 6'4" / 226 lbs - 250 lbs
a5 - 6'3" - 6'6" / 251 lbs - 285 lbs

They don't give waist sizes, but neither do most Gi size charts when buying a top & pants. The above chart is like any Gi size chart (to be taken with a grain of salt).

Tough call since your weight is more of an A4 while your height is an A3.

A3 would be best for length but probably too snug. A4 would be better for your size but the sleeves and pants would need to be taken in most likely.

Chaundra,

These fit rather conventionally, but if anything they're a little bit snug in the waist. For reference, I'm a comfortable 32" in almost all fight shorts (Clinch, Manto, Sprawl), and a 34" in jeans/board shorts... but for Contract Killer, I'm in between 32" & 34".

If you're concerned that a 30" would be too loose, I wouldn't say it'll be an issue.

Zak, I'd suggest an A1 for you. My buddy is 5'10" 160 lbs and he wears an A1.

Pat, it's a tough call because Manto's A2 will most likely be a good fit for you, though the sleeves could be a tad too long before washing. A1 sleeves are probably a better match but the chest room will probably restrict your movement if you've got wide shoulders/chest. I think an A2 would work best for you.

Hey Aaron, The Manto A4 will likely be a bit longer in the sleeves and pants than your Atama A4. If anything, Mantos run a little bigger than normal so if you're normally right in between sizes, go down a size. For example I'm 6'1" 175 lbs and usually an A2 is a tiny bit short in the sleeves/pants however my Manto A2 fits like a charm.

Guys, just a heads up that Tatami changed their sizing recently. I believe it only affects the jacket sleeve length and skirt length.

So the sleeves will be a little shorter than your honey badger, skirt will be a little shorter, not positive about the pants. We're all out of honey badgers or else I'd measure the difference on pants, etc. but I think it's safe to say A3 is the way to go.

The Ultra Light is much lighter, one of the lightest gis 'evarrrrr'. The Pro Light is still comfortable, but the Ultra Light is just silly light. Never trained in an Ultra Light but my Pro Light has never stretched at all, it's one sturdy Gi.

I'm 6'1" or 6'2" and the A3 is the perfect length in terms of sleeves and pants. If you avoid shrinking the gi, I think A3 would work for you... But if you like to put your gi in the dryer and prefer a more generous cut, then you should go with A4.

Probably an A3. The sleeves and pants will probably be a bit long, but if you get the A2 it'll be too tight for sure. I think having longer sleeves is a better trade off than having a tight gi. Sleeves can always be hemmed if the length is bothersome.

Clinch Gear Vale Tudo Shorts

That's a close call. My opinion is Large. It's a tight fit, so even if they're a tad "bit" they won't actually be that big (still form-fitting, and putting them in the dryer for a short spell would fix that, I think). As opposed to rounding down and getting Mediums that end up too tight... Nobody wants to roll with the guy whose love handles and belly are pouring out over the waist of his Vale Tudo shorts...

HQ's arenn't set up for multiple units per order, so yes for every daily deal you buy there needs to be a separate order with separate shipping (this way everybody gets a chance to buy... don't want resellers hoggin' up all the goodies and stiffing the little guys)

knees & elbows, you're thinking of the Scramble Wave kimono not the Manto Wave.

You know, a couple days ago the office DID get a little wet... almost like a Wave from the UK landed here... weird.... very weird...

Grab & Pull are solid Gis. I've had one for almost a year and not a single loose thread or significant signs of use.

Venum Sparring Shorts - Blue

Joshua, Venum refers to these as 34"/35" or 'Large'.
I don't have a pair in front of me, but they run pretty standard. If anything, a tad on the small side so if you're in between sizes, round up.
The waist is not elastic, but there is an adjustable drawstring to assist the velcro strap in tightening them up.

Haha, Steven yes of course! We are very close with the Scramble guys, you can write on their facebook wall and they'll tell you how cool the BJJHQ are :)

Send us an email @ cs@bjjhq.com if you think there is a defect with your tights, as those things do happen on rare occasions.
